STOKE Membership
To get STOKE Certified and get access to our sustainability tools, Affiliate Impact Program discounts, and STOKE Community network, an organization must first become a STOKE Member. Annual membership dues are indexed to the size of the organization based on annual gross revenue (AGR).
STOKE Events Membership is based on the event’s budget (e.g. ticket revenues, operating expenses, sponsorship) and is broken down into a similar pricing structure with different operating budget brackets.
To see what your organization’s STOKE Membership dues would be, please click the Upgrade button in the top right corner of the web app or fill out the pricing form on our website here and select the AGR or event budget bracket that matches your organization. All pricing is $USD.
On-site Evaluation
As for the on-site evaluation by a STOKE accredited Independent Evaluator in your region, these costs depend on the size of your business and how close the evaluator is to your operation. Evaluators charge $500USD per day and all travel, meals, and accommodations are to be provided by the organization getting certified.
Most surf and ski tourism operators will take one or two days and organizations making more than $20M ARR will take three to five days. Most events can be done in a day or less. These on-site evaluation costs are only incurred during a certification or recertification year, unlike other certifications that charge organizations the same annual fee regardless. Recertification visits are much smaller in scale and typically take half the time and therefore half the cost to complete as evaluators are only checking on mandatory compliance items and any new initiatives.
As a third-party certification, STOKE does not receive any compensation for the independent evaluation, but we must have proof of payment to the evaluator in order to reduce the risk of bribing to skew scores.
